Well what a fabulous day my couple had for a wonderful Hand-fasting and Naming Ceremony…an absolute scorcher at 34 degrees !!!!

It was an early start for Barny & I having stayed the night at The Beckhampton bed and breakfast. We can highly recommend it by the way!!!

Driving toward Avebury Henge & stone Circles had a real magical and spiritual atmosphere with a slight haze of mist laying low over the stones. The Hand-fasting  Wedding & Naming Ceremony wasn’t until the afternoon so we had plenty of time to set things up.

The couple had chosen to marry in front of the wondrous Avebury Chapel, which lies right in the centre of the largest stone circle in the world. The Avebury Chapel has been sympathetically restored by the National Trust & can boast to be one of the most unique former chapels in the world, with a breathtaking view over the standing stones.

As always whilst preparing our ceremonial space  we generated a lot of interest from passers by who where enjoying an afternoon stroll amongst the stones.

Family & Friends soon started congregating and we even had a little help from an inquisitive observer.  A true Celebrant in the making!!!!

A budding future celebrant

The couple had asked for a Mini Naming Ceremony for their son to be included within their Hand-fasting Ceremony, and for some of the guests to take part in the many elements of the Handfasting Rituals. Their guests were brilliant in their parts  performing their roles of representing the elements of fire water air and earth.

The happy couple walked the medicine wheel and concluded their ceremony by jumping the broom into their future together.

Jumping the broom

Barny Harrison of Impressive Ceremonies loves officiating Handfasting services at the Magical Avebury Stones, and cannot believe that he is already putting together a Wedding for 2022!!!
